When to extract PDF pages
Extracting is useful when a large document contains only a few pages that you need to send, print, archive, or submit separately. Select the pages you want to keep and DSPDF creates a new PDF containing those pages in their original order. This is different from deleting pages: the source document stays unchanged and the selected pages become a separate document.
For many output files based on different ranges, use Split PDF. For a more involved page workflow, you can also use the PDF Editor to organize pages and add content before saving.
How to extract PDF pages

- Click the pages you want to keep.
- Click Extract selected pages.
- A new PDF containing just those pages downloads.
Technical limitations
- Selected pages are saved in their original order.
- Password-protected PDFs need unlocking first.
- Bookmarks and form fields are not carried over (pdf-lib limitation).
Frequently asked
Is this the same as Split?
Similar but not identical. Extract gives you one file with selected pages. Split gives you many files. Pick whichever matches your goal.
Can I reorder extracted pages?
Not in this tool. If you need reordering, use our Merge PDF tool with a single file, then reorder there.
