1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using DSPDF (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What DSPDF is

DSPDF is a suite of client-side PDF tools. All processing of your files happens on your device inside your web browser. DSPDF does not upload, store, or transmit your files. There are no user accounts. See our Privacy Policy for details.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to use DSPDF only for lawful purposes. Specifically, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations in your jurisdiction.
  • Process files you do not own or have permission to process.
  • Attempt to remove passwords or other protections from files you don't own.
  • Use the Service to distribute malware, illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service beyond what is publicly viewable (the site's HTML, CSS, and JS are visible by nature — that's fine to read; that's not the same as attempting to break or misuse security features).
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's availability for other users.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or overburden the Service.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to process any file you use with DSPDF.

4. No warranty

DSPDF is provided as-is and as-available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.
  • The output of any tool will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs.
  • Any file, once modified, will be fully compatible with all PDF readers or workflows.

You are responsible for verifying any output before relying on it, particularly for legal, financial, medical, or professional use.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DSPDF and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data, files, or information.
  • Loss of profits or business opportunity.
  • Any damage to your device or files arising from use of the Service.
  • Any claim arising from files processed through the Service.

Because processing is entirely local, most damage scenarios (server breach, file leak in transit, storage failure) are architecturally impossible. Other risks — such as a bug in a JavaScript library causing an unexpected output — are possible, and you accept them.

6. Intellectual property

The DSPDF name, logo, original code, and original written content are the property of DSPDF's operators.

DSPDF uses open-source libraries including pdf-lib, pdf.js, Tesseract.js, jsPDF, JSZip, and FileSaver.js. These are governed by their own licenses, which are not affected by these Terms.

You retain all rights to any files you process through the Service. We claim no rights over your content.

7. Third-party resources

DSPDF loads open-source libraries from public CDNs (Cloudflare, jsDelivr, unpkg) and fonts from Google Fonts. Your use of the Service means your browser will make requests to these third parties. Their availability and behaviour is outside our control. See our Privacy Policy for details on what this means for your privacy.

8. Advertising

DSPDF may display third-party advertising (for example, from Google AdSense) to support its operation. Advertisements are clearly separated from tool interfaces. Ads do not affect the functionality of the tools. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for what advertising means for your data.

9. No professional advice

DSPDF does not provide legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. Tools such as the Signature feature produce visual signatures, not cryptographic digital signatures, and are not a substitute for professional legal advice about signing requirements. See our Disclaimer for more.

10. Changes to the Service

We may add, modify, or remove tools and features at any time. We may also change these Terms — material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

Since there are no user accounts, there's nothing to terminate. If you stop using the Service, that's it — no data of yours remains anywhere for us to retain, because there's no data of yours to begin with.

We reserve the right to block access from IP addresses or regions where the Service is being abused, or where the Service cannot be legally provided.

12. Governing law
